Armored Core V or 5, is a 3D live action mech game currently of for PS3 and Xbox 360.
I believe this would be a 14th installment of the franchise including 5 main titles. 5/V is returning to AC’s roots in more strategic game play revolving around geographical advantages, urban warfare and stealth cover. In previous recent titles, its all been about quick handy work with the fingers. This is like most online competitive games. However, for experienced or quick gamers, this would be ideal, but I guess the creators wanted it to play out different. Not just relying on skill. Which is always good, but tapping into your background and adapting for favor. Another change is the size in mechs, or correctly called “cores”. The cores respectfully around 10 meters, which is about 30 feet. Now they are 5 meters, or 15 feet. With the same capabilities and attack power I hope, the reduction in size once again emphasizes the need and concept of mobility and stealth. What I hear is that this game is pretty much online. You can do all the sorties offline. You can do 5 on 5 action, globally. There are constantly people taking control over areas of the world. You can hire other player as mercenaries to assist you online, which I think is awesome. You can trade and sell parts for parts or money itself. Some have mistaken this game as too long, too hardcore, too many menus or option, which really means the game is too competitive, not a 8 hour beat em up game, more strategic then expected, more options and freedom. This game is not for the casual gamers. But I will agreed, that the game looks like ps2 graphics. It doesn't lag online really, so maybe that's why. It s Once again, I have yet to pick up this title being a long time fan playing most of them. I will continue coverage of this after I purchase this latest title for myself.

OK I bought Armored Core V, last night, and all I can say is that I'm having fun. When first starting off, you do an install. I believe almost 3 GB, but it took minutes to. The start up menu is confusing. Well, I don't think there is. You just go into a mission, when you are done, before you can progress, you need to select/find a team or create one. For solo missions, I would create, but as a rookie you will need assistance anyways, if not from a team, then a mercenary. I did a mission and hired a mercenary. Even though we failed the mission, I found out he was just a state over. I switched to his group or team and then actually had some successful missions. I like the idea of working with multiple groups and even registering as a mercenary on the side. If you don't have a full squad, or if someone is missing or unavailable, you can hire a mercenary, or real live person. I don't like the graphics, it really could be better. Sometimes they look good as next gen, then other times I feel like I'm playing "Masters of the Arena". Like I thought, its pretty much online. Well, I don't think there's an offline option. There are real time battles/ missions. You can go on a sortie, were you offensively mobilize on a enemies territory. After a few successful invades you can take it over and have you clan emblem on the map, symbolizing your capture of the area. Im still beginning so I haven't costumed my mech yet. i only c hanged the color, and the interface. The weapons and parts assembly takes some time to get use to. I will be on this game everyday now. So i'll be busy with this title, to further my review. Later.
Below I will later have a trailer of Armored Core V (5)
